Joyce - Hang in there! Librarians have changed lots of lives (mine included)
and we need to be proud of what we do. We can be non-judgemental adults in a
very judgemental world. We open the world of thought and research in a non-
threatening way to children everywhere. Many people do no realize how the
world has changed for children (and adults). Combine the changing technology
with the changing social structure and what we must be now is combination guru
/scientist/computer expert/counselor/and general infosource for all. In my
library I see the home-made videos before they go to class, I see the game video
replays, the agony of students kicked out of class with nowhere else to go. Hey
 it's a kind of "vocation," isn't it? I'm proud of you. :) =
