IASL Conference 1995

The IASL (International Association of School Librarianship) will hold the
24th Annual IASL Conference in July 1995 in Worcester, England.  Worcester
College of Higher Education will host the conference from July 17-21.  The
theme is "Sustaining the Vision".  The four sub-themes are school
librarianship, children's literature, literacy and technology.  Thus far
speakers include:

Dr. Margaret Meek, Emeritus Reader in Education, Institute of Education,
University of London,

Vida Conway, Former National Chairperson for the School Library Association

Michael Rosen, Margaret Kinnell Evans, Kim Reynolds, Anne Clyde and Tony Ghaye

Seminars, workshops, and visits will also be built into the proceedings,
plus exhibitions, Waterstones bookshop and an opening event sponsored by
World Books.
