I too like the greetings aspect.  As we got our brand new lab this year, I
asked for and received greetings from over 50 locations and our group was
really impressed.  In addition, I have been in further contact with some of
those folks.  Also, I have answered requests to areas of particular interest
such as from a geat distance, in an area where I want a contact, or in one
instance to a school district where I previously taught in another state.

I vote to keep the "greetings".
