I bet if you are willing to challenge the categorical use of a code not
part of your selection policy guidelines, you'll have help if you contact
ACLU. They can usually find parents among their membership who will
insist that their children not be categorically denied access. Generally,
it's high profile, but worthwhile community education. I think you have
to decide how important it is, you willingness to become vulnerable, this
is never easy.
