Monsters in the movies

I have  a student who is looking for information on monsters in the
movies.  Are there any discussion groups or usenet groups that deal with
this subject?  He wants know about the history, production, special
effects, and future on monster movies.  He would like to interview someone
who knows something about this.  Can anyone help me and him?  Thanks
