Recently someone posted a message looking for sixth grade keypals. I asked our kids if they were interested, found some who were, and sent a message directly to the postor saying we were interested. No reply. I repeated the message several days later. Still no reply. Back in December someone posted a survey of Christmas customs. I spend quite a bit of time with our math class taking a survey in our school and sent in the results. The kids were very excited. No reply. I have sent directly three requests for a copy of the results. No reply. Folks, this kind of thing is not only disappointing for the kids and frustrating for me, but it undercuts the whole purpose of the Internet in schools. I realize that we all have time constraints, but if you are going to post messages, please be sure to budget time to reply.
