Re: Be careful of conclusions- Pocahontas

Regarding the lyrics to the songs in the movie _Pocahontas_: I have seen
the movie and those may indeed be the accurate lyrics, but they need to
be placed in context.  The Britains from John Smith's ship were portrayed
as uneducated racists, and they were the ones singing the aforementioned
lyrics.  The point was that the audience was to see their lyrics as being
ludicrous.  I thought the movie contained strong themes regarding the
importance of tolerance.  Granted, the film was historically inaccurate.
