Hello to everyone at LM-Net. I am currently in a Master's of Library Science program with a specialization in School Library Media. After completion of the program, I will be certified to be a school library media specialist in MA, CT, NH, NY, ME, and VT. At the end of my studies, I will do a semester-long practicum in supervised field experiences. Currently, I work in a public library, but I do not have any teaching experience. Since most of the students in my classes do, I wonder if I will be at a disadvantage when I look for a job. How many of you have teaching experience? Do you feel it is necessary? What are the requirements for your positions? I would appreciate your advice. Thank you, Jennifer S. Jourdain EMail: jourdain@educ.umass.edu
