Greetings!

Our school district is currently doing a study on making
the libraries safe during an earthquake.  If anyone has done
this already (or knows some sources of good information on the
subject), reply to me and I'll post a hit if we get some good
ideas to share.

[Some suggestions we've already received have been:
     bolt the bookcases to the walls (sounded reasonable)
     screw the adjustible shelving in place (?!?)
     tie bungie cords across each shelf (!?!?!?!!!!!)
     don't stack things on top of bookcases (hard to do, but maybe)]
