LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Dear LM_Netters:
I've really enjoyed this group and how willing everyone is to help each
other. I could use you help now.
My school is a K-12 of about 520 students in a small rural area in Mich.
I am the media specialist and have a part time aide. Every few years we
have a budget crunch (sound familiar?) and we need English teachers which
just happens to be my major. This time they didn't even explore any
other avenues (which seem obvious to me) and have decided that I should
teach half a day next year.
I am to speak to the Board on May 8 on the importance of a strong media
program and full time specialist. PLEASE send greetings to show the
power of the Media specialists and if you have time, a sentence or two
about the importance of a full time media specialist and strong media
program.
Appreciate all the info on the Colorado study, etc. and cried along with
the Cincinnati schools.
