I appreciate you assistance. Craig ---------------------------------------------------------------------------= - ---------------------------- COTF POSITION ANNOUNCEMENTS The NASA Classroom of the Future (COTF), a research and development program in K-12 math, science, and technology, that designs, develops, and implements multimedia curricular products, is seeking creative, talented, high-energy people to fill the following positions: GRAPHIC ARTIST: Develop graphical representations and illustrations for computer-based instructional material, presentations, print materials, etc. Experience with computer-based graphics programs and Macintosh hardware and software, plus ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously is required. Experience designing graphics and layout for WWW pages desirable. Include a portfolio of computer-based graphics created along with r=E9sum=E9. STAFF DEVELOPER/TRAINER: Design, organize, and conduct high quality education and training for K-12 teachers, program staff, and campus faculty, making use of technology. Duties: oversee logistics and assist with marketing of educ. and training programs. Master's degree in education or related discipline required, doctorate preferred. Knowledge of effective workshop design, participant follow-up support issues, modern theories of teaching and learning, program evaluation, and distance learning techniques and technologies required. Successful staff development and grant writing is a plus. CURRICULUM WRITER: Write and edit materials for computer-based presentations and printed documents; write materials in a variety of formats and styles for different audiences and grade levels; read and abstract technical articles and documents; and create a system for recording information and editing procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in educational field; master's degree in English, science, science education, or related field; strong background in K-12 math, science, and/or technology education curriculum; three years teaching experience; and experience using Macintosh hardware/software. COMPUTER-MEDIATED COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST: Identify and coordinate electronic mail communication program; coordinate, distribute, and update technical and curricular information; design, develop, edit, and maintain WWW pages. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in communications, scientific discipline, or related field; extensive experience developing applications of on-line communications; excellent technical writing skills; good organizational skills; and ability to manage and track details. Send writing sample w/ vita. WEBMASTER: Design, implement, and maintain the COTF Web site and Help Desk for multimedia software. Duties: design and maintain Web pages using tools such as Mosaic and Netscape; maintain help desk; interface with developers and content providers; maintain links to other Web sites; develop search mechanisms and maintain security of internal Web pages; provide training. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equiv.; experience with Macintosh computers running System 7.x.; knowledge/experience with Mac graphics, desktop publishing, Hypercard, C, C++, Unix, TCP/IP; programming experience; one year's related experience.
