Rationale for Automation

On behalf on our 5 elementary libraries:  The librarians are writing a
rationale for automation, which will include electonic communication
among all our 7 libraries, to be presented to the administration and
hopefully the board.  Automationd+++g?4 mf$ includes a retrospective conversion for
a computerized catalog and circulation.

Please help if you can with suggestions as to what should be included in
such a rationale.  Emphasis should be on value to the users rather than
to the librarian!

If anyone has such a written rationale that he/she would be to
willing to share, please snail- or e-mail me a copy.  I'd be happy to pay
mailing costs. Thanks.
