In our school, money received for damaged or lost textbooks goes into an account
from which more textbooks may be purchased. The library, in addition, charges
for overdue library books (and lost lib books); monies collected are used in the
purchasing of new or replacement library books. No monies revert to the general
fund as both of these accounts are in-building accounts. Without these
accounts, my collections would be in a sorry state. I really depend upon them.
