Question for Californians

Hi,
I am a little confused about the name of the organization for school
librarians.  One name that I got was the CMLA - California Media Library
Association.
Another name is the CSLA - California School Library Association.  If
there are two organizations, is there any feelings as to which is the best.

I am also interested to know when and where these organizations will be
holding their conventions.
I know CLA is in Santa Clara  nov 11-14.
