Dear Lm_net members,

I am interested in hearing your input concerning the changing role
of the Library Media Specialist and the hurdles you face as you
support the efforts to *integrate Internet resources* in your schools.

If you have time and are willing to share, please respond directly
to me, NOT to this list. I will post a HIT when the responses are
colated. I think this information will be useful to those of us
who are often found in the position of "training the trainers" or
presenting sessions at library-related conferences.

Thanks in advance!

Jan Wee

1. What are the greatest hurdles you have faced in your efforts
to assist students and staff in the use of Internet-based resources?

2. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1=low, 10=high) how valuable are Internet-based
resources to your staff and students and your library:

        Comments:

3. How has your position changed with the onslaught of demand for Internet
        based services?

4. In what ways has the inclusion of Internet based services:

        a) positively impacted library services?

        b) negatively impacted library services?

5. Please describe how you facilitate the use of the Internet in your
school? (be as specific as possible, please)

6. If you could give a new LMC Director/Specialist advice about integrating
the Internet, what would it be?

Please respond to these questions as soon as possible. I would like
to colate responses and post a HIT within the next few weeks.

Thanks,

Jan Wee
