The following are compiled from Carol Mann Simpson's book _Internet for
Library Media Specialists_  Linworth, 1995, and found repeated in various
other periodicals, publications etc.

KIDINTRO@sjuvm.stjohns.edu    A penpal intro group for kids.

Kidsphere:  A discussion list for teachers & others who work with kids.
According to Simpson's book (Carol, I hope you can clarify anything here)
"This list isn't run by a listserv.  Subscribe by sending information to the
joinkids address (joinkids@vms.cis.pitt.edu) A companion list, KIDS, is also
joined through this address."

The message should be subscribe iecc@stolaf.edu yourfirstname yourlastname.
This list is not for discussion or for individual penpals, but for teachers
seeking partner classrooms for international or cross-cultural connections only.

Perhaps there are some other good penpal lists out there that LM_netters
could share--or perhaps a target needs to posted for this.  Many of us do
not have the expertise or knowledge to get to some of these sites without a
little help.
