To all Ct. LMS-
Connecticut Kids Count on Reading, the umbrella reading initiative that is
part of the national Count on Reading is having a kick-off reception before
the pre-conference on November 2, at 3:00 - 4:30, at the Radisson in
Cromwell.  If you would like to be part of Count on Reading or would like to
learn more, please come.  David Loertscher, president of AASL, and Brenda
White, member of the national Count on Reading committee, will be speakers.
 It will be an opportunity to see the 4'x8' map of the state, complete with a
star for each participating town (and to add your own), to receive your
newsletter, to hear about action research, and to join an important project
that will impact on your students' lifetime reading ability and habits.
