TECH: CD-ROMs on LANtastic Network

I'm planning to network our high school library's ten computers--many with
CD-ROM drives--using LANtastic this fall.  We will be automating the catalog
with "Athena" at the same time.  I chose LANtastic because word on the street
is that it is easy and flexible and we have no technical support available.
I'd appreciate any tips/warnings/suggestions from libraries that presently use
LANtastic with CD-ROMs on their local area network.  TIA.
