Middle School philosophy, mission statements

As is usually done here, our school board decided the last week of school
in June to reconfigure the district, eliminating junior highs and
creating middle schools.  We returned to school yesterday, and now since
we are already a middle school, we have to come up with our philosophy
and mission statement by October 1.  Can any of you Middle School
librarians help by sharing yours, so we can at least get an idea what
others are doing?
