Here is the Mission Statement for School District #51 in Grand Junction, Colorado: To lead all students to reach their individual potential by rigorously pursuing and evaluating achievement of high academic and ethical standards in a disciplined, nurturing environment. The Guiding Principles of our school, Redlands Middle School, read as follows: Redlands Middle School will reflect a philosophy that is learning centered. The academic program will be challenging, maintaining high standards of performance, while encouraging individual student success. We will create an environment that enhances the lives of all students. As a middle school, our program will respond to the unique needs and characteristics of our learners. We will strive to create a setting that will address a child's intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. Redlands Middle School will subscribe to the ideals of the inviting school concept. The staff will be service-oriented, working with students, parents, and our community to develop positive and purposeful relationships. We will strive to maintain a climate that fosters respect for the learning and personal growth of students, parents, staff, and community members. We want the adventure at Redlands Middle School to be both rewarding and enjoyable for everyone. Hope this is helpful!
