TECH: internet servers

My district is getting ready to purchase an internet server.  The choice
is between a Sun Sparc Netra server and an Apple internet server - with a
601 processor.
        Are there any site administrators in our group who have an
opinion on those two machines?
        One of my district technicians claims that the Apple internet
server has several advantages:
        no need to work in Unix
        it is cheaper than the Sun machine
        harder to hack than a Sun
        additional equipment/hardware which we add in the future is less
expensive than similar equipment for the Sun Netra server.

        Does that sound like advertising or are those claims accurate?
