Teenage Aliteracy

I am writing a paper on aliteracy among teenagers.  I am wondering if
teenagers in your schools are reluctant readers.  This seems to be a big
problem in this country and yet the "Motivating High Schoolers to Read"
HIT today only had responses from 12 people.  If you have any additional
ideas for encouraging teens to read, such as those in the March issue of
School Library Journal, I would really appreciate hearing about them.  I
would also love to know the excuses students give for not reading.
