Carlisle, Massachusetts, is celebrating School Library Media Month
on April 9, 1996. We will be hosting an evening with the theme  "Connect to
Your School Library".  Two poets - X J and Dorothy Kennedy will be there.
We'll introduce  the Poem in Your Pocket Program, where students can earn
prizes for having and sharing, when asked by an adult, the poem in their
pocket. We'll be displaying student work and having students demonstrate
library equipment. Students will be invited to Browse the Internet. We
would enjoy receiving greetings from schools in the U.S. and from around
the world. We would especially like it if you would tell us something about
where you live and mention one or two book titles or author's names which
are popular among students. Our students are especially enjoying books by
Patricia Polacco , John Bellairs and Brian Jacques. We hope to year from
many of you.
