Given the upcoming 51st annivaerary of Hiroshima on August 6th, I thought
you would all be interested in the film/video SADAKO AND THE THOUSAND PAPER
CRANES which is based on classic book written by Eleanor Coerr. The half
hour film has not had a theatrical release but is a BOOKLIST  Editor's
Choice and is in the collections of many libraries around the country.  The
story is narrated by Liv Ullmann with music by George Winston as the camera
pans and dissolves through hundreds of pastels by Caldecott Medalist Ed
