The Big Six* is a six-step information problem-solving process developed
by Michael Eisenberg and Robert Berkowitz. The Big Six is currently being
taught and used by library media specialists, teachers, students, and
others across the US and in other locations around the world.

A Big Six website is currently under development. As part of the site, a
directory of Big Six states, districts, and schools will be created. We
would like to include names of contact people, addresses, phone numbers,
etc. so that contacts can be made for information-sharing and
collaboration.

Three basic categories of Big Six users have been identified as follows:

1. Big Six School: The Big Six has been implemented at the building
level.

2. Big Six District: The Big Six has been implemented in all buildings in
the district (a district-wide Big Six information-skills curriculum is in
place).

3. Big Six State: The state has incorporated the Big Six into the State
curriculum.

(Please feel free to add a category if you do not fit into one of these
groups!)
