Here the library is not open to the students until 2 weeks after school begins but then art, musice and language classes don't start before that time either. The thinking is that the teacher needs time to establish a rapport (can be read discipline) with her class before taking them to other places. It also takes time for us to get all of the a/v equipment checked out, the new class lists prepared and mu;ltitunidous needs taken care of. I often use part of this time to go and visit the classrooms to introduce myself but I sure wouldn't want to be without it. Slainte!
