I couldn't resist adding my two cents on this one.  Last year, I was
reading to a class of Gifted K/1 and without thinking said, "OK, everyone
sit Indian style."  A hand instantly shot up and this small, smiling,
precocious 5 year old said, "Don't you mean Native American Style."  I have
never been able to use the term since.
