Our school has drop-off/pick-up zones in front of the school. The rule is, if the student is not standing waiting for the parent when the parent drives up to this zone, the parent is to circle the block. If a parent wants to go into the school or wait in the car, the parent is supposed to stop at the park and walk zone, which is further away from the main doors. Some parents, however, wait for their children in the drop-off zones. When other parents drive up, they are unable to stop to drop-off/pick-up their children safely. How do other schools handle this type of problem? (About 250 out of 500 students are from out of the community, although many are bused.)
