Holly's Post:

Would it be possible for us to put "live" URLs in our postings instead of
just addresses? and would it be helpful to do so?

Could users of various interfaces take advantage of the possibility of
clicking instead of printing and copying and so on?

How would it be done?

Holly,

If I understand your wish, it's already been very well done.

When I installed Eudora 3.0 email software (on a Mac, but same on Wintel
machines, I believe), I was pleased to see that all hyperlinks are "live",
that is they appear in color in an email message and if you click on one it
launches Netscape (2.2, 3.0, US3.0 and probably the MS Browser), and
connects you to the chosen sie.

Eudora 3.0 is nifty in many other ways as well.

General Observation:
When using v.2.0 (and almost any other software) I have thought of several
features I wish the creators would add. It's interesting that these
desired features often actually are incorporated into subsequent versions,
as in your wishing for live hyperlinks and Eudora delivering.

I have discovered that most software developers, many book vendors and
publishers, and all web site managers are VERY eager to hear from you with
ideas, feedback. I have developed many wonderful and helpful contacts
simply by sending my opinions and suggestions to those developing the
cyberworld.

I guess that may be what interactive media is supposed to be about.
