TARGET: Eudora problem

I had an empty mailbox in Eudora that I wanted to delete.  I am using a PC.
In File Manager, I deleted the two files, example.mbx and eaxmple.toc.  Now
the mailbox, Example, still appears in the list of mailboxes, and when I
click on it a dialog box appears which says "Example does not exist."
However, it still is in the list.
How can I get rid of it in the list?  I cannot use the delete key or pull
down  the "File" menu because when I highlight "Example", I immediately get
the dialog box.
