Please see the attached message - one of several I received personally;
thanks to the tact of the list, no one posted their correction to the
list. The mistake is mine, not my husband's, as I originally thought. It's
fun to know people read and care enough to make sure we are accurate as a

Hi Rebecca.  Oops!  "Shamash" is Hebrew for the helper candle used with the
"hanukkiah" (the Hanukkah candalabra) and "shammes" is Yiddish for the same
thing.  (It was just backwards in your posting!)
