Automation and staff

Hi All,
Greetings from Poughkeepsie,NY.  I need some suggestions-
please-our K-5 library has been automated for 2 years and I
have had a teaching assistant for 5 hours a day. This year her
hours were cut to 3 hours a day and all she can do is check in
books and return them to the shelf.
I am writing a report to the supt. to tell him succinctly that
automation needs additional staff -not reduction.  Send your most
potent reasons to me  and I shall be eternally grateful:-).
