There has recently been speculation posted on LM_Net about a possible sale of the Columbia Library System by McGraw-Hill. As a very satisfied user of the Columbia Library System, I decided to contact McGraw-Hill directly to ask if this were true. I received the following response from a McGraw-Hill representative. "McGraw-Hill is in the process of identifying a library-oriented company to sell CLS to. They are looking for a company that can give the product the focus and attention it deserves. McGraw-Hill School Systems will then focus on school administrative software. We will continue to support the CLS customers through the sale. ...It is our intent to continue to support our user base through the sale of the product to a company that can take over the product and continue the support and development."
