Help with"Flat Stanley" project

Dear All Willing Participants,

                I'm doing cooperative teaching with a second
grade teacher using an
integrated curriculum.  The students are studying International
communities and
we are incorporating use of the library and technology.  We are
looking for
librarians and/or teachers who would like to be a part of this
project.  We will
be using map skills, graphing, writing a report, using cd rom
to print maps, and
both the U.S. mail and electronic mail to send and receive a
book character
named Stanley, from the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.
        In the book, Stanley is accidently flattened when a box
falls on him.
As a result, he takes a trip to different parts of the world
via U.S. mail.
While he's vacationing, he sends back information about where
he went, what he
saw, what he ate, etc.
        If you would like to participate, and we hope you will,
please respond
to the following information sheet and return to me at either
of the addresses
below.jcritchf@pen.k12.va.us no later than March 8, 1996.  Also
let me know if
you would like know about the success of our project and we
will reply after all
the data is collected by the students.
