Hello to John and all you great LM_NETTERS! My girrlfriend and I are planning a summer trip- a librarian's vacation- we want to do "THE LAURA INGALLS WILDER THING," as we are calling it. Here's what we've planned so far-- Aug 10th- fly to St. Louis and drive to Branson for a P.M. show Aug 11th- begin our tour of Mansfield. Missouri Independence, Kansas De Smet, South Dakota Walnut Grove, Minnesota Pepin, Wisconsin St. Louis, Missouri Fly back to Baltimore in the P.M. on Sunday August 18. My questions- 1. Anyone know of something else intersting or a literature connection/book setting we can possibly fit in. 2. I want to see a working grain elevator- will that be possible at that time? 3. Anyone know any distances or times between any of the spots? We'll have a rental car. AAA will help us out but they don't open until Monday again.
