I am not aware of any list that has such a focus. Automation has become such an integral part of our daily life in all areas of the library that discussions of it are part of discussions of cataloging, Ill, etc. That being said, there are some lists that do have a larger technical component than others, for example, there are about 2 dozen vendor-specific lists, e.g. NOTIS-L, DYNIX-L. Of the non-vendor lists probably PACS-L (the Public Access Computer System list) is the most general list with an emphasis on online catalogs. It is PACS-L@UHUPVM1.UH.EDU (send subscriptions to LISTSERV@UHUPVM1.UH.EDU in the form: subscribe PACS-L Myfirstname Lastname *************************************************************************** Judith Hopkins 716 - 645-2796 (phone) Technical Services Research and Analysis Officer 716 - 645-5955 (FAX) Lockwood Library Building University at Buffalo ULCJH@UBVM.CC.BUFFALO.EDU Buffalo, NY 14260-2200 Listowner of AUTOCAT@UBVM. ...
