ELEM: Books which contain persuasive writing

I'm back again.  I have had a request from a 5th grade teacher for books
that contain *persuasive writing*.  I've checked several sources for
possible bibliographies on this topic, but have come up empty handed.
i.e. Invitations & Transitions by Routman and some others that I can't
remember.  I would really appreciate it if you could point me in the
direction of some books that might contain this topic.  TIA
