Hear ye, hear ye!

IBASICS, the online course developed by a team of Library Media
Specialists of the AASL to help our colleagues develop skills in using the
Internet as a curriculum resource, is about to begin again. Over 900 LMS's
around the world joined this listserv last fall and took the nine lessons to
get started on the Internet.

This basic course is designed for Library Media Specialists who have
an email account and want to learn the basic tools of the Internet. Each
week one lessons is sent out via listserv covering gopher, telnet, email,
listservs, WWW, ftp and newsgroups. Exercises and sites to explore relating
to K-12 curriculum are included in each lesson.

IBASICS will begin the week of Jan. 8, 1996! You must subscribe
before then to be sure to receive all the lessons. To subscribe, send an
email message to:
        listserv@listserv.syr.edu

Be sure to leave the subject line blank.
