Reading for pleasure

Many of you have listed your favorite holiday reading choices.  I highly
recommend THE LAW OF GRAVITY by Dennis Cottrell. This is his first book.
It is about a young boy who lives in a trailor court with an abusive father.
He is eventually put into the foster care of an elderly woman who opens a
whole new world for him.  There are some really funny scenes, some sad
ones, and some suspenseful ones.  It is really a heart-warming story.
The author is a high school English teacher who genuinely believes in the
worth of all students.  The title is taken from the idea that the young
boy has everything pulling him down, like gravity, keeping him from
achieving, but he defies the LAW OF GRAVITY, and achieves anyway.  It can
be ordered through bookstores as Ingram is distributing it.  It is
published by Wyrick Press in Charleston, SC.
