I have piloted (for one month only) the EL, I found it to be very useful
as a research tool, but for an elementary school a bit too pricey, I would
think that a high school library would be able to absorb the cost as it
gives full text access to so many things.  I am requesting that my Dir. of
Tech consider negotiating a cheaper price for elem. as we would not use it
to the extent of a sec. school, but so far have not heard back from that
request.
  My chance to pilot it came as a result of the EL company giving my
School District a disk and a password that was good for 60 days or some
length of time.  So perhaps any of you who are interested could contact
the EL company and request the same type of preview opportunity.
