TARGET, ELEM: Need book suggestions about obstacles (gr4)

HELP!  A fourth grade teacher has assigned a book report about obstacles.
Students must choose from an approved list of about 75 books. However,
my school has less than 40 of the books on this list (there are about 75 studnets).
Some of these titles appear to be quite old. Can anyone suggest any
titles , appropriate for grade 4, that I could try to obtain elsewhere(or buy for 
next year!)
I will post a HIT . BTW, The teacher includes in obstacles:
  prejudice, mental, physical, medical problems, war, cultural adaptation,
and personal probelms. TUA and sorry about the typos. My text was corrected
