I have read several messages about wearing orange on St. Patrick's day. It
would be very inappropriate! The color orange represents William of Orange
a Protestant European statesman) who basically was victorious over James II
in controlling Ireland for the Protestants. THis could be considered the
beginning of the "Troubles" in Ireland. Since St. Patrick's Day in a Irish
Catholic holiday I don't think Orange would be very apppropriate.
