HIT: Historical novels Gr.4

Thanks to all who gave me suggestions for a grade 4 historical novel
suitable for less adept readers to discuss in a literature circle.  This
is my first attempt to post a HIT, but here it is:
White Bird by Clyde Bulla (Other novels by this author)
Ticket to Curlew by Lotteridge
The Whipping Boy by Sid Fleishman
Thunder at Gettysburg by Gauch
Pioneer Cat by Hooks (mentioned thrice!)
Trouble for Lucy (author ?)
Number the Stars by Lowry (great, but reading level too difficult)
The Little Riders (author?)

Further suggestions will be welcomed.
