GEN: Contacts in Scandanavia?

My daughter and I are about to escort my mother back to Finland which she left
as a baby. We will be doing this in June/July, staying with relations. Then
doing a Viking tour of Stockholm, Oslo, perhaps Denmark, also going to St.
Petersburg.  If anyone knows of great schools, conferences, or people contacts,
(or good Viking sites!) or have any other words of wisdom about travel there
these days (I was there over 20 years ago!) I would be greatly interested.
