Matching Funds for Fund Raising

If you are doing a fund raiser, you may want to go to Walmart first and find
out about their matching funds program.  At the store managers discretion,
they will match any money you raise with money from the store.  This is done
on a store by store basis, and they may ask for some advertising from you
during your fund raiser (such as notice that all the money you raise will be
matched by "Your friendly local Walmart Store" :-).  I will follow up with
more details (including limits) as I get them.  I just learned this from one
of my employees (her husband use to manage a Walmart in Louisiana).  You do
have to go to Walmart BEFORE the fund raiser starts.

I do shop there and think this is a good program for schools.  Other major
retailers may do the same.
