JOB OPENING:  LIBRARY ASSISTANT (Classified Position)
        Palo Alto High School Library, Palo Alto, CA
        10 months/ 8 hours  7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

Definition:  Under direct supervision of the school librarian, perform
varied subprofessional duties in a library and do related work as
required.

Employment Standards:  Any combination of training and experience
equivalent to completion of two years of college.  Experience in
performing subprofessional duties in a library is desirable.

Ability to: supervise students and maintain order in the library; do
simple reference work and assist students in the selection of library
materials; and display competency with computers.
