Dear LM_netters: Visit the AASL Conference Web Site ! The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Eighth National Conference & Exhibition will be held April 2-6, 1997, in Portland, OR. The theme of the conference is "Learning: Continue the Adventure." For up-to-the-minute information on the AASL Conference, visit the web site at: http://www.ala.org/aasl/portland/. From the web site you can print the conference housing, registration form and application for membership. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend the AASL National Conference. Over 300 exhibitors will showcase books, software and on-line services, along with everything needed to furnish and operate a state-of-the-art school library media center. Also planned are appearances by noted authors of books for children and young adults; professional development activities including seminars and workshops; and interactive sessions featuring specialists in information technology.
