I have been talking about a poem that I believe was written by dorothy
Parker and I think the title was "One Perfect Rose". I have searched
through anthologies and cannot find it. Does anyone have the words. I
have even searched through my college texts to no avail. The idea was
that the recipient received a rose from her love and thought it was so
lovely and romantic, until she beganto see a diamond bracelet on another .
The line ..one perfect rose...was meant to be read in different tones of
voice as the poem progresses. I know I didn't make this up, but cannot
find it anywhere. Please, can anyone help.??
