REF: The "Nameless" City

Hello one and all,

You've never failed me in the past, so I'm going to ask your expert
opinion once again.

Someone called our library (which is open to the public)and asked if any
of us knew what city was known as the "nameless" city.  None of us knew
the answer, and didn't know where to look except the internet.  So here I
am...

By the way, this gentleman said ours was the 18th library he had called,
so I think he'd be really impressed if I found the answer for him.
