graduation

I have to group of seniors doing research on outdoor graduation
ceremonies.  They would like responses especially from Minnesota, Iowa,
Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.  Following is a list of questions they
would like your response too.  Basically, they would like to know
everything possible about an outdoor ceremony, especially since this is
the first class to really pursue the idea.  This class of "97" is
unusually large for our school and are afraid graduation in the gym would
be crowded and hot.  Here is their list of questions.

If you have an outdoor ceremony, where is it held?

Does the choir or band perform?

What about a slide show or decorations?

How is the seating setup for graduates and spectators?

What time of day is it held?  What day of the week?

What provisions are made for rain? or other problems?

Do you have to make special arrangements for an outdoor sound system?

Any pointers you can provide

Do you recommend an outdoor graduation ceremony.  Planned date of our
graduation is May 16th.
